About the role
Undertake a structured four-year apprenticeship within the Engineering Department at The Prince Charles Hospital, developing practical skills and technical knowledge in plumbing and building services while supporting the maintenance and operation of healthcare facilities.
Working under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, you will assist with a range of repair and maintenance activities across hospital infrastructure, contributing to essential services that support safe and effective healthcare delivery. This role provides hands-on experience across a variety of plumbing systems and building services, ensuring exposure to real-world maintenance, fault finding, and installation tasks within a complex clinical environment.
As an Apprentice Plumber, you will actively build your skills through on-the-job learning combined with formal training, attending required coursework and development sessions to successfully complete the apprenticeship. You will work collaboratively with trade staff across multiple disciplines, gaining a broad understanding of engineering services within a hospital setting while developing safe work practices and professional capability.
