About us:
Eventide Home Rockhampton have two main units within the facility, which are Lodges and Courts. These units provide residential aged care for general high care residents, psychogeriatric residents, and dementia residents.
Eventide's is an integrated multidisciplinary facility. Aiming to provide high standards of resident focused care, which responds to complex care requirements delivered in a timely manner and within available resources. The Courts are two units making up a 30-bed psychogeriatric, behaviour and dementia high care residential unit. The Lodges are 3 units making up 50-bed general high care residential units.
About the role:
- Provide leadership and direction for the unit, ensuring services and outcomes meet legislative, professional, and best practice standards.
- Coordinate, formulate and direct evidence-based policies/procedures for the clinical specialty which reflect current trends relating to the provision of nursing care by integrating resident (patient/client) care across the continuum of care.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of contemporary and emerging evidence and trends that will guide the management and development of the unit.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and participate directly and/or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, a relevant post graduate qualification would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a nursing team in a multidisciplinary environment utilising the principles of contemporary human, material, and financial resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, implement and evaluate strategies designed to improve healthcare services.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
