About your role
As the Manager – Priority Projects, Health Funding, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to support Activity Based Funding (ABF) initiatives across Metro South Health.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of Activity Based Funding strategies
- Provide high-level strategic advice to Executive and clinical leaders
- Deliver advanced analysis of complex health and funding data
- Lead priority projects that optimise performance and funding outcomes
- Identify and implement innovative funding models and improvement opportunities
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the health system
- Influence decision-making through expert analysis and evidence-based recommendations
- Monitor emerging national and state funding frameworks and policy developments
About you
You are a strategic and analytical leader with a passion for improving healthcare performance and funding outcomes. You thrive in complex environments and enjoy transforming large volumes of information into practical solutions that influence decision-making.
You will demonstrate:
- Expertise in health funding, performance improvement or data analytics
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced analytical, statistical and evaluation skills
- Experience leading complex projects and organisational initiatives
- Ability to provide high-level advice to executives and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- Ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights

About the Health Funding Analysis Service
Health Funding Analysis service provides information and analysis to assist with:
- Activity Based Funding,
- Monitoring activity performance and trends in service delivery,
- Technical efficiencies, funding compliance and improvements,
- Supporting quality improvement activities,
- Planning new services, and
- Comparisons of activity for benchmarking between services.
