  About the role

This role delivers high quality, evidence based, discipline specific clinical services and leadership as a member of a multidisciplinary, community adult mental health team supporting consumers, their carers, and relevant stakeholders with clinical care and therapeutic interventions aiding in recovery and rehabilitation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • High level knowledge, expertise and skills in managing an allocated workload to deliver discipline specific services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards.
  • Ability to liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers, other health professionals, students, and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation, and conflict resolution skills as required.
  • Ability to provide high level general and profession specific clinical advice to clinical leaders, team leaders and other multidisciplinary team members within the service, and to external community-based providers supporting consumer care.
  • Ability to continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans.
  • Experience in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of discipline specific services.
