About us:
At CQ Health, our Allied Health team knows that movement is medicine - and our Exercise Physiologists are at the heart of helping Central Queenslanders live healthier, stronger, and more active lives. Whether it's supporting someone to return to the activities they love, building confidence after illness or injury, or helping manage complex health conditions through exercise and lifestyle change, every day brings the opportunity to make a real difference. Working alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, the service fosters innovation, embraces continuous learning, and is committed to delivering exceptional care that helps Central Queenslanders live healthier, more active lives.
About the role:
- Lead specialised respiratory rehabilitation services by delivering advanced exercise physiology assessment, exercise prescription, education, and behaviour change programs across the Respiratory Rapid Access Service and Pulmonary and Lung Transplant Rehabilitation Service, helping patients achieve the best possible health outcomes.

- Drive excellence within the service through quality improvement, research, clinical leadership, and mentoring opportunities, while supporting the development of students, Allied Health Assistants, and emerging Exercise Physiology professionals.
About you:

- You combine advanced clinical knowledge with evidence-based practice, confidently assessing, planning, and delivering exercise interventions that support positive outcomes for people living with complex and chronic health conditions.
- You are a strong communicator and collaborative team member who builds positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring care is coordinated, person-centred, and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
- You are passionate about continuous improvement and professional growth, contributing to service development initiatives while sharing your knowledge through mentoring, supervision, and education of students and less experienced practitioners.
