About your opportunity

The CTRU provides opportunity and support for consumers to regain independence managing their mental illness in the community. The role of the Enrolled Nurse (EN) is to work within a multidisciplinary recovery framework, provide mental health nursing practice consistent with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the mental health service, to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. This role is diverse and requires nursing staff to provide nursing care in relation to chronic disease, wound management and recovery from substance use disorders.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $37,92 to $50.31 per hour (Nurse Grade 3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Diploma of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Highly Desirable: Successful completion of modules related to medication administration and peripheral intravenous (IV) therapy.
  • Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services (MHSG) to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
