Join a team of professionals supporting people 18 years and over who are dealing with serious mental health problems in the West Moreton Region. We have partnered with health consumers, carers and expert clinicians to ensure the unit provides a safe space to improve wellbeing. Designed to reflect a residential environment, this purpose-built unit will give consumers access to internal courtyards, gardens and outdoor areas to support recovery and wellbeing.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service is an advanced clinical practice Registered Nurse who provides clinical support, education and nursing leadership. This position provides expert clinical care and guides clinical practice within a recovery framework.

What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Significant experience in management and leadership of mental health systems and processes for contemporary adult mental health services to undertake the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant of an acute mental health inpatient service.
- Demonstrated expert level of contemporary clinical mental health knowledge, expertise, and skills in acute mental health clinical practice for people over the age of 18.
- Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative counsel and clinical expertise as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal Queensland Health services including external government, non-government, and private health sector service providers to achieve the optimum outcomes for the client.
Mandatory Requirements
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties
