About the role

As Manager Procurement, Contracts and Staff Accommodation, you will provide strategic leadership across procurement, contract management and workforce accommodation services. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will lead high performing teams responsible for delivering compliant, efficient and innovative services that support healthcare delivery across Mount Isa and rural and remote communities. This is a diverse leadership role where you'll influence organisational strategy, oversee significant operational budgets, manage key stakeholder relationships and ensure robust governance frameworks are embedded across procurement and accommodation functions.

  • Lead the Procurement, Contract Management and Staff Accommodation teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice to the Executive and Board on procurement performance, contract governance, commercial risk and strategic opportunities.
  • Oversee staff accommodation services across Mount Isa and rural facilities, ensuring effective management of housing assets, tenancy arrangements and workforce accommodation requirements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce or Diploma in Procurement will be highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, tendering and contract management in a large diverse and complex organisation will be well regarded.
  • A ‘C' Class Motor Vehicle Licence may be required.
  • This position may require travel across the North West Hospital and Health Service area via, light and commercial aircraft and helicopters as well as long distance vehicle travel using unsealed roads.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
