Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to provide advanced clinical expertise and consultancy within the Day Therapy Unit at Redland Hospital, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across a range of medical therapies and procedures. You will:
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise across Day Therapy Unit services, including infusion therapies, venesections, CVAD management, minor procedures and related treatments.
- Lead and support quality improvement, clinical governance, service redesign and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centred care, provide expert clinical consultation and support integrated care across the healthcare continuum.
- Mentor, educate and develop nursing staff while fostering a positive culture of learning, innovation and professional excellence.
About you:
You are a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse with advanced clinical expertise in medical day therapies and a passion for leading teams, improving services and delivering outstanding patient care. You have:
- Demonstrated experience in advanced clinical nursing practice within medical day therapies, procedures and complex patient care environments.
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence practice and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, clinical governance and achieving service performance outcomes.
- Experience mentoring and developing staff, with competencies in areas such as PIVC, CVAD and Port-a-Cath access; ultrasound-guided cannulation experience will be highly regarded.

Unit Profile
Bayside Health Service provides services within the hospital and community setting such as Emergency Care, Primary Health and Minor Injury Care, Acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care. The Day Therapy Unit (DTU) through a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach, and in partnership with patients and their families, provides supportive therapy for patients requiring day only admissions for treatments for diseases/disorders for a range of services.
