About the role:

  • Practice autonomously at an advanced level within a multidisciplinary team, delivering expert care in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) Nurse Practitioner standards.
  • Conduct rapid emergency and comprehensive geriatric assessments, providing acute care, treatments, and interventions for residents in Residential Aged Care Homes.
  • Deliver specialist, patient-centred care across multiple settings, including aged care facilities, inpatient in-reach services, and telehealth.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare teams to support informed decision-making and achieve the best possible health outcomes.
  • Provide clinical leadership through staff education, mentoring, policy development, quality improvement activities, and auditing to enhance aged care services.

About you:

  • Current registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), along with a valid practising certificate, is mandatory.
  • Successful applicants must obtain and maintain Nurse Practitioner credentialing and defined scope of clinical practice approval in accordance with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, provides support; shares information and credit; considers the view of and involves colleagues in decision making; deals effectively with conflict; maintains effective working relationships with colleagues; mentors and provides leadership as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates advanced clinical evidence-based skill and knowledge in the care of a client, service coordination and interdisciplinary care management, evidenced by feedback, recency of practice and achieved clinical competencies.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $187,710 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $79.47 - $81.97 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
