What your day could look like

As a Clinical Nurse in Adult Community Mental Health, you'll play a vital role in supporting people on their recovery journey while strengthening care across the community. From delivering person-centred care plans to guiding clinical decisions, you'll work as part of a collaborative team to achieve meaningful outcomes for individuals and their families.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering advanced, recovery-focused mental health care that improves wellbeing and supports independence
  • Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, consistent and person-centred outcomes
  • Leading clinical decision-making and supporting others through mentoring and shared expertise
  • Driving quality improvements and innovation that enhance service delivery and patient experience

You're a confident and compassionate clinician who brings both expertise and empathy to your work. Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with a valid practising certificate
  • Strong experience in adult mental health, including assessment, care planning and case management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and lead clinical decisions within a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound understanding of mental health legislation, standards and safe practice principles

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working in regional or community settings and/or postgraduate qualifications or credentials in mental health nursing.

Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to everything you do—helping shape care that truly makes a difference.
