About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide an advanced level of care based on demonstrated continuing education, experience and competence, and demonstration of requisite leadership skills within Metro North Mental Health - Redcliffe Caboolture (MNMH-RC) as a member of the interprofessional team.
- Demonstrated advanced practice is specific to the context in which the Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill (ENAS) which works and is based on the complexity of the service required and the necessity to provide that service.
- The ENAS demonstrates a greater depth of knowledge and experience, and more effective integration of theory and practice than the Enrolled Nurse (Grade 3).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 4 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Practice in accordance with Code of Ethics, professional and organisational standards and legislation affecting nursing/midwifery practice by participating in ethical decision making and maintaining current knowledge and skills within scope of the position.
- Recognise and respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the consumer/person's condition and workload changes in a timely manner to the registered nurse.
- Provide health promotion and education to recipients of healthcare services and their carers and significant others.
