What's involved – To lead the implementation and establishment of the EIPS role into the Central West Hospital and Health Service (CWHHS).

The purpose of the role is to provide a high level, specialist Social Work or Psychology service, to families who have children 0-8 years, which focuses on early intervention / parenting and related clinical services.

Partners with families to facilitate goal-directed, and evidence-based interventions that seek to enhance care-giving capacity that influence parental functioning and the determinants of child health. The role is responsible for providing advice and support on relevant early intervention and parenting issues, with a specialty in parent/carer mood, attachment, and enhanced parenting programs.  Works in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Child, Youth and Family team, and key stakeholders in Paediatrics, Allied Health and Mental Health

The EIPS clinician will collaborate with the senior nurses and clinicians in the Child, Youth and Family team to actively participate in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal team systems, processes and work practices. This will support the continuum of care between services at an acute and community level.

This position plays a key role in delivering Putting Queensland Kids First initiatives.
