Your new role:

As a Clinical Trial Coordinator – Health Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating clinical trials across haematology, medical oncology and radiation oncology. Working collaboratively with investigators, research nurses and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care while supporting the successful delivery of clinical research that helps shape the future of cancer treatment.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate clinical trials for adult and Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) patients.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and safety using advanced clinical assessment skills.
  • Ensure clinical trials are conducted in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice and ethical standards.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, research records and case report forms.
  • Work closely with investigators, sponsors and research participants to deliver high-quality trial outcomes.

About you:

You are a motivated health professional with a passion for research and improving outcomes for people affected by cancer. You thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate sound clinical judgement and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, ethics and patient care.

You will bring:

  • Eligibility for registration within a relevant allied health profession.
  • Clinical research experience, ideally within oncology, haematology or radiation oncology settings.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and ethical requirements relating to clinical research.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

About us:

The Division of Cancer Services – Cancer Trials Unit (DOCS CTU) of the Princess Alexandra Hospital is dedicated to providing a high quality service for the delivery of clinical research treatments for patients with cancer.  The research conducted explores questions of optimal drug use, novel combination chemotherapies, targeted therapies, radiation therapy, new diagnostic tests, prognostic indices, best supportive care, molecular predictors of response and cost effectiveness.  The aims of CTU are to offer patients with cancer access to new treatments or treatments that would be otherwise unavailable to them, and to contribute answers to important scientific questions to the cancer care community.
