Your new role:
As a Senior Human Resources Consultant, you will play a key leadership role within the Logan and Beaudesert Health Service Human Resources team, providing expert advice across employee and industrial relations, organisational change, injury management, and complex workforce case management. Working closely with senior leaders, you will coach, influence, and build capability while supervising a small team to deliver high-quality, strategic HR services that support organisational success, workforce wellbeing, and compliance with Queensland Health legislation, policies, and best practice people management principles.
About you:
You are an experienced and confident HR professional with strong expertise in employee and industrial relations, who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about coaching leaders, resolving sensitive workforce matters, and driving contemporary people management practice. You have:
- Proven experience in human resources, industrial relations, or employee relations within a complex or regulated environment
- Strong capability in managing complex cases including investigations, performance, conduct, injury management, and workers' compensation matters
- Highly developed influencing and coaching skills, with the ability to build capability and trusted relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and contemporary public sector HR practices, with the ability to interpret and apply policy in practice
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support small teams, remain composed under pressure, and contribute to a positive, collaborative, and learning-focused culture
