About your opportunity
The Cardiology Operations Director utilises expert level cardiology knowledge, skills and experience to oversee complex and varied clinical services and clinical service improvement, in combination with expert managerial capability, to provide strategic leadership, operational efficiency, governance expertise and authoritative influence across complex cardiac services in our region and cardiac networks across the state. The role drives service improvement at scale across all services in their portfolio and is responsible for all flow on effects of operational changes.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $184,018 to $197,206 p.a. (HP7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- The successful applicant must hold a tertiary qualification, or equivalent in an eligible health practitioner profession.
- Relevant leadership qualification and/or extensive experience in senior management, leadership, operations, logictices and/or change management are highly desirable.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate class C motor vehicle, and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
- This position may require the incumbent to travel throughout Townsville HHS and North West HHS.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
