We are seeking a highly accomplished, commercially astute legal leader to join our Legal Services team as Director. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic role at the centre of some of Queensland's most significant and high‑profile initiatives.
From leading major infrastructure projects for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to shaping the Gabba Entertainment and Housing Precinct, you will be working on matters that most lawyers only ever observe from the outside.
This is not a traditional government legal role.
As Director, you will:
* partner with senior executives, decision‑makers and project leaders to provide strategic, solution‑focused advice on complex and fast‑moving matters;
* lead and oversee advice on significant commercial, property, funding and major project delivery issues;
* build and maintain trusted, influential relationships with clients and stakeholders across government; and
* play a pivotal leadership role in delivering outcomes that will shape Queensland's future for generations to come.
Our team is based at 1 William Street in the Brisbane CBD, offering exceptional workplace amenities including abundant natural light, sweeping river and city views and close proximity to some of Brisbane's finest public spaces. If you are ready to step beyond timesheets and into a leadership role where you can influence major decisions, take ownership of complex and high‑impact work, and contribute to transformative projects, we would like to hear from you.
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
