Your new role:
Join Metro South Health as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure, plant and equipment that support patient care. Working across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals, and occasionally other Metro South facilities, you'll deliver planned and reactive maintenance, compliance testing, fault finding and technical support to ensure hospital environments remain safe, reliable and operational 24/7.
About you:
You are a qualified and safety-focused Electrical Fitter/Mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering reliable maintenance solutions that support critical healthcare services.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure, plant and equipment in large, complex facilities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety legislation, compliance testing, fault finding, isolations and HV/LV switching practices.
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads, manage maintenance activities and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Committed to continuous improvement, workplace safety and providing responsive, customer-focused technical support.

Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
