About the role
Provide advanced clinical and operational leadership as a Nurse Unit Manager within Level 5 Perioperative Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, overseeing Operating Rooms, the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit and Day Surgery Unit. This role is accountable for the coordination, management, and delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring nursing standards, safety, and performance targets are met across a complex and high-demand perioperative environment.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective service outcomes while managing human, financial, and material resources. The role involves driving quality improvement, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture, and supporting workforce development through education, mentoring, and performance management, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement in perioperative care delivery.
