About your role
As a Clinical Nurse – Primary Care Clinic, you will provide advanced clinical care and leadership within a dynamic 24-hour Primary Care Centre and Pandanus Ward environment.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver advanced nursing care to patients with urgent and complex needs.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team.
- Undertake comprehensive assessment, care planning and coordination.
- Apply advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Support quality improvement, clinical audits and patient safety initiatives.
- Mentor and educate staff and students to foster a learning culture.
- Contribute to portfolio responsibilities and service development.
About you
You are an experienced and confident Registered Nurse with a passion for urgent care and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
You will bring:
- Experience managing urgent and complex patient presentations.
- Strong triage skills and knowledge of the Australian Triage Scale.
- Advanced Life Support capability and emergency response experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- A commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Experience supporting and developing others through education and mentoring.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area (highly desirable).

About Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre, Gundu Pa and Pandanus Ward
Wynnum-Manly Community Health Centre, Gundu Pa is a state-of-the-art public health facility for the Wynnum and Manly areas providing a range of services under one roof, including a 24-hour Primary Care Centre, Addiction and Mental Health, Allied Health, Breast Screen Queensland, Child Development, Chronic Disease, Oral Health and Specialist Outpatients. The 24-hour Primary Care Centre is a walk-in service and designed to treat less urgent/minor injuries and illnesses.
The Pandanus Ward is in Casuarina Lodge and comprises eight (8) general health care beds for the Wynnum and Manly community.
