We're excited to welcome Clinical Midwives to our Queensland Virtual Early Medical Termination of Pregnancy Service (QVEMToPS)
The purpose of this Clinical Midwife Role is to provide expert nursing/midwifery clinical knowledge and care within a best practice framework to women and pregnant people accessing medical termination of pregnancy.

Key Responsibilities include:
- In this position you will be directly involved in the facilitation and assistance of a woman's request for Termination of Pregnancy. If you have a “Conscientious Objection” to facilitating or assisting in a termination of pregnancy because it conflicts with your own personal beliefs, values or morals you would not be suited to the position of Clinical Midwife QVEMToPS.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- The role of the Clinical Midwife QVEMToPS is aligned with the ethos of supporting a woman's right to health including reproductive health and autonomy.
Remuneration value up to $139 252 p.a., comprising salary rates: $113 979 - $122 048 p.a. (f/t) or $57.48 - $61.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6(1)) (Full time and part time positions). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
