About Us:
The Directorate of Integrated Medicine, Child and Youth Services, otherwise referred to as IMCYS, is committed to providing an environment for patients, relatives and staff that ensures safe and high-quality care. The multidisciplinary approach focuses on the patient journey and increases the role of clinicians in the management of services.
The directorate is divided into five distinct service areas led by a multidisciplinary management team, each focusing on particular patient groups and their specific health care needs. Services are delivered in the Trinity, Cassowary and Hinterland hubs, across the Cairns & Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS).
About You:
- Demonstrates advanced capability to lead, collaborate and consult with key internal and external stakeholders in the planning and commissioning of clinical services and associated performance accountabilities.
- Demonstrates advanced critical thinking and reasoning, expert problem skills and clinical judgement for patients and is a capable coach for the broader team within Child & Family Health.
- Develops the capacity of key stakeholders to improve care service delivery using a robust contemporary clinical knowledge and professional judgement.
- Applies advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and expertise to contribute to strategic and operational leadership and governance of service delivery.
- Responsible for application and operational management of the workforce profile including the Business Planning Framework (BPF).
- Prepares high level correspondence that accurately communicate emergent issues, potential implications, and where relevant identified remedial solutions in order to facilitate informed health service Executive Team decision-making.
