Role details
The Division of Medical Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Liver) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Your opportunity is to join a team of passionate, motivated clinicians who provide quality, evidence-based best practice care for consumers. As the CNC you will provide expert client-centred nursing consultancy and coordinate clinical care for patients with liver disease. The CNC role coordinates and participates in nurse-led surveillance clinics, coordinates MDT presentations and implements care plans, provides leadership and mentoring to nursing and allied health staff to build service capacity through clinical education; lead research projects, clinical audits and educational programs within the hepatology service, facilitate inter-organisational collaborative shared-care models, coordinate clinical procedures and support the Nurse Practitioner of Hepatology.
About the Team
The Mackay Liver Clinic is a shared-care service within the Mackay Hospital & Health Service and is located within the Mackay Base Hospital. The service manages a broad range of liver diseases, including Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, Chronic Liver Disease, Metabolic associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), alcohol related liver disease, liver cancers and other hepatobiliary conditions.
