About the role
The Assistant Procurement and Contracts Officer supports the procurement function of Metro North by working across categories to undertake procurement and contract management activities in a client focussed and transparent manner. This position will work across multiple categories as staffing and demand requires.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Support the delivery of Metro North Procurement Services objectives under the guidance of the Category Manager and/or Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer to ensure timely, high quality procurement outcomes.
- Protect the reputation of Metro North by adhering to probity, accountability and transparency principles.
- Undertake procurement activities in a manner that is compliant with local and system policy and procedure and ensure optimal procurement outcomes by maintaining a high level of communication and integrity.
- Propose innovative procurement solutions that reflect the market, activity risk, value and requirements of the customer.
