About us:
The Access Services division of Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services is responsible for service entry, intake/triage, acute and short term intensive mental health interventions for consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. Access Services is a large division comprised of skilled multi-disciplinary team members from a variety of backgrounds including psychiatry, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, lived experience peer workers and administrative professionals.

About your role:
- Deliver high quality evidence based clinical services (including tele-triage, tele-health assessments, generic and profession specific biopsychosocial mental health assessment, treatment, investigation, diagnosis and short term client management) child and youth, adult, and elderly consumers in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Comply with the timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections and provision of service activity into appropriate electronic databases.
- Maintain and support reporting lines to the Access Services Team Leader and Access Services Operations Manager to ensure delivery of clinical services within a quality improvement framework, in a multidisciplinary team across a complex and varied work environment.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
- Provide clinical practice and professional supervision to less experienced staff, including students and those with provisional registration, to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the service.
