Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Compliance and Assurance Officer to join our Finance Team. This position can be based at either Bundaberg Hospital or Hervey Bay Hospital, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial sustainability and governance of one of Queensland's leading regional health services. This role is critical in ensuring revenue integrity, compliance with legislative and funding requirements, and the effective monitoring of revenue-related processes across the health service. Your opportunity:
- The purpose of this role is to provide specialist advice, assurance and support to ensure compliance with legislative, policy and regulatory requirements relating to hospital revenue, including Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), private practice arrangements and the National Health Reform Agreement 2026–2031.
- The role will lead targeted compliance and assurance activities, coordinate responses to data matching and audit processes, and support improved revenue integrity across the Health Service. This includes delivery of priority, time-limited reviews of high-risk service areas, such as outsourced service arrangements, to ensure appropriate referral pathways, patient election processes and billing practices are aligned to contractual, legislative and policy requirements.
Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive salary between $4,791.30- $5,132.30 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy).
