As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you'll play a key role in improving the health, independence and dignity of older people living in residential care. From delivering complex clinical care to shaping service improvements, you'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful outcomes across the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering advanced assessment, diagnosis and therapy that improves communication and swallowing outcomes
- Partnering with residents, families and care teams to support personalised, high-quality care planning
- Leading or contributing to service improvements that enhance care delivery across multiple sites
- Mentoring colleagues and building capability within the team through guidance, education and support
Let's Talk About You
You're a confident and compassionate clinician who thrives on making a genuine difference in people's lives. You bring sound judgement, curiosity and a commitment to continuous improvement, and you know how to connect with others to achieve the best outcomes. You take pride in helping teams grow, shaping better services, and ensuring every person you support is treated with respect and dignity.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Recognised qualification in speech pathology and current professional membership
- Strong clinical experience in aged care or complex adult caseloads
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- A proactive approach to service improvement, leadership and mentoring
You'll stand out if you bring experience working across regional or rural settings and/or additional training in dysphagia or geriatric care.
Above all, you'll embody compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—making a lasting difference in every interaction and outcome you shape.
