About the role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse Allied Health service.

Working closely with clinicians and senior staff, you'll assist with both clinical and program activities to ensure efficient service delivery and positive patient outcomes.

  • Support Allied Health Professionals by delivering delegated assessments and treatments within defined frameworks
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient-focused care
  • Assist with clinical processes, documentation, referrals, and preparation of treatment activities
  • Contribute to service improvement, resource coordination, and mentoring of junior staff within a culturally safe environment

Requirements

  • This position may be required to obtain a Blue Card if clinically seeing a child under the age of 18 years as part of role. The Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
