Your new role:
As the Advanced Pharmacist – Medication Safety & Quality Improvement, you will provide expert leadership in medication safety, quality use of medicines, and clinical governance across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior leaders and key governance committees, you will lead strategic initiatives that enhance medication management practices, support accreditation requirements, and drive measurable improvements in patient safety and healthcare quality.
In this influential role, you will coordinate and deliver a comprehensive QUM program, lead Drug Use Evaluation (DUE) activities, support research and innovation, and contribute to the development of a highly skilled pharmacy workforce.
- Coordinate and deliver Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and Drug Use Evaluation (DUE) programs across the health service.
- Design, implement and evaluate medication safety audits, research projects and improvement strategies.
- Develop and deliver education and workforce capability programs that strengthen medication safety practices.
About you:
You are a highly experienced and motivated pharmacist with a passion for medication safety, clinical governance and quality improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments, can influence stakeholders at all levels, and are committed to improving patient outcomes through innovation, evidence-based practice and leadership.
- Proven ability to lead quality improvement, audit and research initiatives that deliver meaningful healthcare outcomes.
- Experience developing policies, procedures and systems that support safe medication management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and identify improvement opportunities.
