About the role
This permanent full-time opportunity is suited to an experienced and highly capable podiatrist who thrives in a complex tertiary care environment. As the Advanced Podiatrist – Foot Hub Coordinator, you will lead the delivery of specialist foot disease management as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical care to patients with high-risk and complex presentations. The role combines advanced clinical practice with strong leadership and systems thinking, overseeing a hub-and-spoke model that connects services across multiple regions.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Utilise advanced clinical skills, knowledge and independent professional judgement to manage and coordinate a varied and complex foot disease caseload, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. The setting is a tertiary hospital hub service, partnering with spoke sites to deliver multidisciplinary foot care across an inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Utilise clinical leadership and systems knowledge to lead service development, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based foot disease pathways and hospital avoidance strategies for a hub and spoke foot disease model.
- Maintain and develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning by engagement in professional development activities.
