About us:
The Nurse Manager Rostering and Resource Management role will be responsible for building and supporting Nurses, Midwives, Line Managers and team leaders who develop and manage rostering and the workforce to achieve safe rostering practices, ensuring resources are available to deliver safe patient care. The Nurse Manager will be part of the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit and work in close partnership with the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services Integrated Workforce Management Program (IWFM) Rostering Systems team in the Workforce Division.
About the role:
- Leading the program of work which reviews, supports, and drives improvement initiatives in rostering practices for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service nursing and midwifery.
- Ensures that services roster to best practice to provide quality and safety to patients through effective rostering of the health workforce.
- Supports enhanced workforce management and drives the delivery of tangible benefits through improved tools, processes, and access to workforce decision-support information where and when it is needed.
- Contribute to the analysis of data that facilitates the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Business Planning Framework (BFP) to ensure that nursing and midwifery services are managing their resources to provide patient-centred care, driven by information, and organised for safety.
About you:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, and ability in identifying health priorities for contemporary care and practice, and accountability for person-centred care.
- Demonstrate competence in human, material and financial resource management practices, including the Business Planning Framework and Best Practice Rostering.
- Experience in collecting and analysing service nursing and midwifery rostering data; reporting
- variances and benchmarking to align practice service with best practice.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
