About us:
Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) delivers healthcare to prisoners at Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC), Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF), and associated work camps, supporting a fluctuating population of around 1,090 male prisoners. CCC also manages prisoner transitions across a wide region, from Mackay in the north to Gladstone in the south, the Capricorn Coast in the east, and the Central Highlands in the west.
About the role:
- Provision of a quality service and administrative support, including communicating, liaising and negotiating with staff and internal and external agencies in a confidential, courteous, timely and professional manner, including face to face, telephone, fax and email.
- Effective and efficient management of workload through prioritisation of tasks and functions, ensuring high level administrative services are provided within designated timeframes, always in conjunction, collaboration and consultation with other administrative officers as required.
- Process, receipt and track incoming and outgoing prison health records accurately to ensure charts are accessible for timely continuity of care.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a Diploma or Certificate IV in Business and or Health Administration or equivalent will be well regarded.
- Proven ability to work effectively with information technology as demonstrated by competent computerised keyboard skills incorporating speed, accuracy and use of computerised systems.
- Ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritised workloads whilst working autonomously and with other team members.
- Effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills, the possession of tact, diplomacy, and discretion incorporating the ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary workforce, external agencies and members of the public.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
