About us:
The North Queensland Eating Disorders Service (NQuEDS) provides evidenced-based and multidisplinary care to consumers living with an eating disorder. NQuEDS services consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). This service is voluntary; person and family centred and operates under the premise that consumers can and do recover from eating disorders. NQuEDS strives to remove barriers to accessing care for those consumers living in rural and remote areas of our region. The service also provides specialist consultation and education to the region.

About your opportunity:
In this role you will....
- Deliver high quality, evidence based psychological interventions as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers living with eating disorders, their carer's and relevant stakeholders with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery and rehabilitation framework.
- Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Take a leadership role in initiating, planning and evaluating quality activities, evidence based practice, clinical research programs and local service improvement activities as delegated.
- Ensure consumers, carers and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
