The purpose of this role is to apply advanced technical and scientific knowledge within Anatomical Pathology to deliver high-quality histopathology services, providing independent scientific judgement and contributing to efficient, client-focused diagnostic outcomes.

 

What you'll do

In this role you will analyse anatomical pathology specimens, apply scientific judgement to technical and diagnostic activities, perform laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols, contribute to quality assurance and accreditation requirements, support continuous service improvement initiatives, provide guidance and supervision to less experienced staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely histopathology services.

 

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Holds a tertiary qualification in Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent discipline
  • Has experience or demonstrated capability within anatomical pathology or histopathology services
  • Can apply scientific judgement and technical expertise to diagnostic laboratory work
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Can effectively prioritise workloads and deliver high-quality outcomes in a busy laboratory environment
