About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to perform all duties associated with stock control, ordering and receiving of goods into the Food Services department to support the efficient functioning of meal provision to patients of The Prince Charles Hospital under the supervision of the Storesperson.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Participate in a range of operational duties as outlined on daily duty statements and procedures, or as directed by a Supervisor including but not limited to: food preparation, stock receivable and storage, stock control, serving on the plating line and tray assembly, trolley delivery to ward, serving meals and beverages to patients, buffet style meal provision, patient tray stripping, pot wash duties and general cleaning, and operation of a flight and pass-through dishwasher.
- Responsible for keeping an imprest system and the stock control of patient food supplies in the ward kitchen areas.
- Responsible for cleaning duties in allocated areas as part of direct duties or to assist staff. This can include ward kitchens, main kitchen, floors, store rooms and cold and freezer rooms.
