About the role

The team is based at Herston Campus and there is an opportunity to access some flexibility within the working arrangements once the successful candidate is established in the team. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within health and advanced clinical knowledge within guardianship and administration.”

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate advanced level independent clinical decision making and judgment to provide consultation to social workers, clinicians and Executive on the management of adults requiring QCAT, and to support clinician autonomy with the QCAT application process. 
  • High level skills in communication and stakeholder engagement 
  • Demonstrate advanced level communication both written and oral. 
  • Provide high level management and leadership to all HHSs across the state regarding: 
  • Prescribed professional and ethical standards including the Queensland Health's core values and code of conduct relevant to adults with impaired capacity. 
  • QH QCAT Guardianship Program protocols, policies, procedures, and workplace instructions 
  • Relevant legislation 
  • Relevant strategies and plans
