About the role:

  • Lead the operational management and coordination of the Midwifery Group Practice (Indigenous Maternal and Infant Care), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based maternity services.
  • Provide advanced clinical and professional leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee clinical governance, quality and safety initiatives, proactively managing risk and ensuring compliance with national maternity care standards and professional practice requirements.
  • Drive service development and innovation, supporting the ongoing enhancement of culturally responsive, family-centred models of care and improved health outcomes.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA, supported by a Bachelor of Midwifery (or equivalent), with postgraduate qualifications or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families highly regarded.
  • Advanced clinical expertise in delivering evidence-based, woman-centred midwifery care, underpinned by sound clinical judgement, critical thinking and a commitment to cultural safety.
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive excellence in maternity care.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and resource management skills, with a strong commitment to lifelong learning, research-informed practice and improving outcomes for women, families and communities.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
