About us:
The Gladstone Integrated Service is part of a specialist mental health, alcohol and other drugs network supporting more than 250,000 people across Central Queensland, including Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana regions. Based in Gladstone, the service brings together Adult Mental Health, Child and Youth Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Step-Up Step-Down services to provide comprehensive, recovery-focused care.
Working closely with hospitals, community services, primary health providers and private practitioners, the team delivers assessments, case management, therapeutic interventions, consultation and referral services. Our focus is on reducing the impact of mental illness and substance use challenges, supporting recovery, and helping consumers and their families achieve the best possible outcomes within their local community.
About the role:
- Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and their families by providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health assessment, treatment and support.
- Build strong therapeutic relationships while coordinating care, developing treatment plans and supporting young people throughout their recovery journey.
- Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, partnering with families, carers and community stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Share your knowledge and expertise through mental health education and consultation with healthcare professionals, community services and local groups.
- Help shape and improve the service by contributing to quality improvement initiatives that enhance care, strengthen outcomes and support continuous growth.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $139,252 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
