The purpose of this role is to safely transport and deliver linen, clinical and non-clinical supplies to Queensland Health facilities while ensuring reliable, efficient and compliant logistics services across the healthcare network.
What you'll do
In this role you will operate heavy vehicles to transport healthcare supplies, safely load and unload vehicles using trolleys, pallets and roll cages, complete scheduled deliveries and collections, conduct vehicle inspections and pre-operational checks, maintain accurate driving records and fatigue logs, report vehicle faults and workplace incidents, comply with Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements, assist with third-party freight and courier services when required, and provide professional customer service while representing Queensland Health.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a current Medium Rigid, Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination driver's licence
- Has a strong commitment to road safety and Heavy Vehicle National Law compliance
- Is physically capable of undertaking manual handling and loading activities
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Can adapt to varying delivery routes and operational requirements
- Works collaboratively and maintains a professional approach at all times
