About the role
Permanent opportunity to lead and sustain a culture that promotes excellence in nursing and midwifery research, leadership, and continuous quality improvement to support culturally safe services that are responsive to the social determinants of health and priority outcomes aligned with the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Stream within Metro North Health and the School of Nursing (SON), Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Maintain the general standards required of a Level D – Associate Professorial appointment at QUT.
- Facilitate practice of self and others in accordance with the code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
- Undertake and participate in ethical decision-making in the achievement of both organisations' goals.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs, accessing both material and human resources through effective negotiation and communication to achieve cost-effective consumer/person-centred service delivery, including Business Planning Framework (BPF) application.
