With a strong focus on governance, safety, and continuous improvement, you will help ensure assets are effectively managed to meet operational, regulatory, and service delivery needs across a complex health environment.

About you:

You are a detail-driven and analytical asset management professional with strong technical capability and stakeholder engagement skills, who thrives in complex environments and is committed to improving asset performance, compliance, and lifecycle value in a large health service. You have:

  • Demonstrated experience in asset management, maintenance planning, or infrastructure/data analysis in a complex organisation
  • Strong capability in asset lifecycle modelling, condition/criticality/risk assessment, and performance reporting
  • Highly proficient in asset management systems and confident managing large, complex datasets with strong data integrity focus
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective working relationships across technical and operational teams
  • Sound understanding of compliance requirements including WHS, Australian Standards, and regulatory frameworks within asset-intensive environments

What we can offer you:

  • We offer a family-friendly work environment that supports you in making the most of Queensland's laid-back lifestyle.
  • We are renowned for teaching and research excellence with strong relations with Queensland's leading tertiary institutions.
  • We want to empower you to build a long-term career, with countless opportunities to learn and grow, no matter your role
  • You'll have all the benefits of working for Queensland's world-class public health system including generous leave entitlements, attractive salary and remuneration packages, salary packaging and access to relevant professional development allowances and/or leave, study and research assistance, corporate discounts and employee wellness programs.

The Assets and Infrastructure (A&I) Business Unit enables Metro South Health to expand clinical service capacity through strategic infrastructure planning, master planning, and delivery of priority capital works aligned to the Strategic Asset Management Plan. A&I drives asset management capability uplift, supporting ISO 55000 alignment through improved governance, lifecycle planning, data integrity, and performance reporting. It develops SAMP and AMMP in partnership with the Department of Health, applying a risk-based approach to asset renewal and investment prioritisation.
