About your opportunity
To provide high quality clinical care to clinical trials patients of the Townsville Cancer Centre – Haematology Service within The Townsville Hospital & Health Service, supervision of junior medical staff and will include some responsibility for providing teaching to junior medical staff, medical students, nursing and allied health staff.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $133,848 to $154,749 p.a. (L4-L9)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Appointment to this position requires proof of medical qualification and 3 to 4 years of medical officer work experience (Intern, RMO, Registrar). Registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Accepted into recognised vocational college training program relevant to the speciality.
- If appointee is not accepted into a recognized vocational college training program – employment will only be as a Principal House Officer and remuneration will be at PHO Level per fortnight (L4-L7).
- Highly regarded: Interest / background in Clinical Trials and / or Clinical Research with knowledge of clinical trial specific requirements for patient care and associated documentation practices.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
