About the role
Provide lived-experience based support as an Advanced Peer Worker within the Mental Health Short Stay Unit at Caboolture Hospital. This role focuses on supporting people experiencing mental health crisis, alongside their families, carers, and kin, by drawing on personal lived experience of mental illness and recovery to promote hope, engagement, and recovery-oriented care.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assist in assessment, care planning, and delivery of recovery-focused support. The role involves modelling recovery strategies, advocating for consumers, and facilitating goal setting and wellbeing planning, while contributing to a safe, person-centred, and trauma-informed care environment.

- Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and service development
