About Your Role
As a Senior Medical Officer within the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic (MIIC), you'll provide high-quality urgent care for patients with lower acuity illnesses and injuries, delivering safe, timely and patient-centred care in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert assessment and management of minor injuries and illnesses
- Provide high-quality urgent care in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Lead clinical decision-making and promote evidence-based practice
- Ensure safe, accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient handover
- Support patient transitions back to primary care and community providers
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management
About You
You are an experienced medical practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality urgent care and improving access to healthcare within the community.
Skills & Experience
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Strong experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or general practice
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
- Strong leadership and mentoring capability
- Advanced skills in Emergency Medicine, Indigenous Health, Anaesthesia or Paediatrics highly desirable

Redlands Satellite Health Centre, Talwalpin Milbul:
The satellite health centre is also known as Talwalpin Milbul, a name chosen by the Redlands Coast community and local Traditional Owners and Elders. It means ‘Redland Bay alive/active' in Jandai language.
The satellite health centre treats minor illnesses and injuries that aren't life-threatening, and we also have diagnostic services for patients having treatment, including ultrasound, X-ray and pathology.
