About your opportunity

The purpose of this role is to deliver senior cardiac physiology services within the Cardiac Investigations Unit. This includes delivering high quality evidenced based cardiac physiology clinical services, particularly echocardiography services, to patients/consumers within a highly functioning interprofessional team.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Possession of a science based tertiary degree from a recognised tertiary institute with a strong human physiology component and eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association or organisation.
  • Whilst not mandatory, possession or undertaking study towards a postgraduate or Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac), including holding status as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (Cardiac) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR) and comply with an ASAR-recognised Continuing Professional Development program in order to remain on the ASAR Register.
  • Whilst not mandatory, relevant additional qualifications or evidence of considerable professional development in cardiac clinical measurements would be well regarded.
  • Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
