Social Workers within the service recognise that a person's health and wellbeing are shaped by social, cultural, psychological, economic, and political factors. They provide specialised, targeted interventions to strengthen social and emotional functioning and connect people with the supports and services they need.
About the role:
- Provide senior-level clinical Social Work services within a multidisciplinary team at Rockhampton Hospital and across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
- Lead complex case management, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing review of high-risk and complex client presentations.
- Apply advanced clinical judgement and evidence-based practice in line with AASW ethical and professional standards to improve patient outcomes and service quality.
- Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and clinical support to less experienced Social Workers, Allied Health Assistants, and Social Work students.
- Lead and contribute to service development, clinical governance, quality improvement activities, and effective patient flow across the continuum of care.
About you:
- Hold a recognised Social Work qualification with eligibility for AASW membership, and deliver services across a full scope of practice.
- Provide advanced, independent clinical judgement in psychosocial assessment, advocacy, and intervention across the continuum of care.
- Demonstrate strong clinical leadership through supervision, mentoring, and development of Social Work staff to support safe, accountable practice.
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives, including the implementation and evaluation of change.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, consumers, families, and stakeholders while contributing to education, training, and research activities.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
