Role details
The Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator Program is a state-wide program that is closely integrated with the Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Multicultural Mental Health Coordinators are employed by local mental health services and respond to the needs of consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds at a local level. The role of Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator is to deliver high-level clinical services and leadership to achieve better health outcomes for clients from a multicultural background with a mental health disorder or substance use, and/or at risk of developing mental illness.
About the Team
Staff members of the Workforce Partnerships and Professional Development Team, work within a multi-disciplinary team framework to deliver high quality services safely and with a robust culture of continuing improvement. Staff work collaboratively with each other and with consumers, their families/carers and external service providers. The team comprises of several positions working in key areas such as:

- Suicide Prevention & Aftercare
- Digital Workforce Change
- Service Reform & Service Integration
- Mental Health Information Management

- Peer Workforce
