Role details

The Child Development Services at the Carlyle Community Health Centre is seeking applications for an Allied Health Clinician to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

The Child Development Services Allied Health Clinician demonstrates knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of clinical child development services for children and their families as part of a multidisciplinary Allied Health team within Mackay HHS Paediatric Services.

The role will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Child Development Services team, delivering clinical services including assessment, analysis, health specific intervention, and case management for children with complex development delays.

Commensurate with experience, the role provides clinical practice supervision to less experienced clinicians to elevate the team's competency and ensure that services are in line with the latest evidence-based practices and Child Development Services objectives.

About the Team

The Child Development Services provides transdisciplinary paediatric allied health assessment services to children with complex developmental needs in order to support families to build on their understanding of their child's developmental delay or disability. The Child Development Services also assists families to understand the future supports and interventions required to support their child's current and anticipated future needs, supporting families to transition to relevant services such as early intervention and community programs. Community paediatric allied health services provide specialist input for children who present with a range of clinical, diagnostic and developmental presentations.
