About the role
Provide financial support to Business Managers and Senior Finance Officers through budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, accrual accounting, general ledger management, and statutory compliance, delivering timely, accurate financial information and advice to Metro North Health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist in monitoring and advising on variations in expenditure, revenue and activity, which affect budgetary performance and activity targets. Assist in finalisation of monthly service line and cost centre reporting.
- Provide a high level of financial and business advisory support including analysis of budget trends and investigation of variances.
- Present in a written and oral form quality financial, staffing and patient activity data compared to budgets, targets, benchmarks and key performance indicators. Provide strategic advice on remedial action as appropriate.
- Co-ordinate and prepare journals for Inter HHS recoveries and assist in extracting and provide supporting data for monthly inter-HHS invoicing.
- Recover expenditure from external stakeholders as per agreements.
