About us:
Eventide Home is one of two accredited Residential Aged Care Facilities within the district and is home for eighty (80) residents. The role of the residential houses of Azalea, Melaleuca and Jacaranda Lodges is to provide residential care to fifty (50) residents who have been classified by the Aged Care Assessment Team as requiring high care.
The role of the residential houses of Acacia Court and Grevillea Court is to provide specialist residential care to thirty (30) residents with psycho geriatric and dementia related conditions and who have been classified by the Aged Care Assessment Team as requiring high care.
About the role:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall management and provision of residential care at Eventide Nursing Home, through effective line management to Clinical and Operational Service Managers and Administration Officers.
- Provide direct resident care activities at the facility to deliver quality cost effective residential aged care through actively contributing to interdisciplinary reviews of overall resident care.
- Develop and implement strategies that promote successful outcomes in the delivery of care within the continuum of care framework and evidence-based practice whilst monitoring and evaluating the quality care of residents.
- Lead in the development, utilisation and review of resident care, variance analysis and care management practices within the interdisciplinary framework.
- Develop, implement and evaluate in collaboration with staff and the interdisciplinary team, the operational / business plan and policies and contributes to the development of the overall operational/business plan for the service.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- High level ability and experience in leading change management in a complex, multi layered service.
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and application of contemporary principles of business, health care management and professional nursing practice particularly in the context of aged care.
- Demonstrated achievement of strategic initiatives which have contributed to quality outcomes for residents, sustainable continuous improvement activities, achievement of accreditation standards, and staff development and research.
- High level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and consult effectively with all stakeholders within a team approach to service delivery and planning.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $16,401 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $82.97 - $86.97 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
